“Sing!”Kim Noller’s first album was inspired by that simple word uttered by her ailing father. Alzheimer’s had taken her name from his mind but in the last few months before his death in 2022, he would see her by his bedside and say, “Sing!”This experience, combined with the encouragement from a friend and colleague to professionally record her beloved original songs, led to the release of Watch Me Grow, Kim's debut children's album, recorded at Greenjeans Studios.Kim's joyful melodies and hope-driven lyrics have been inspiring children and their families for decades. Kim Noller teaches her students to use music as a mood lifter. She believes life's difficulties may be universal but so is the language of music.When school budget constraints limited selections for her K-5 students, Kim decided to write her own music. She has several published choral works with Excelcia Music Publishing and is featured in Plank Road Publishing’s K-8 Magazine. This affirming song of thanks and praise will delight performers and audiences alike while recognizing the special and vital roles teachers, parents, grandparents, mentors and friends have played in our development and growth.Minor Work of Art was originally written to teach elementary students how minor keys are used to create certain moods, and has become a favorite for kids to perform in fall programs. It has a spooky theme that is perfect for Halloween without specifically mentioning the holiday. Music and tracks are available for purchase by request.Falling for Fall is in the Fall 2023 issue of Plank Road Publishing’s K-8 Magazine. Set in a fun swing style, it plays on words of love with double meanings that are relevant to the fall season.One Voice is a simple and lovely piece that introduces harmony with countermelodies that are first sung separately and then together. It will be available through Excelcia Music Publishing as a two part choral arrangement in April 2024.I Have a Dream was Kim Noller's first published choral work. This melodic, original two-part choral work in 6/8 is about channeling that hope into action. Inspired by MLK’s stirring speech, I Have a Dream will put hope back into the hearts of all who sing it and experience it.Kim's choral work Servant of Peace will soon be available through Indianapolis Children’s Choir Publishing House.
About Kim
Kim Noller is a published singer-songwriter and music educator whose joyful melodies and hope driven lyrics have been inspiring audiences for decades.Before becoming an elementary music teacher, Kim performed professionally as a contemporary Christian artist around the country, appearing with notable artists including the Gaithers, Larnelle Harris, Eli, and Margaret Becker.Kim teaches her students to use music as a mood lifter. She believes life's difficulties may be universal but so is the language of music.Kim has several published choral works with Excelcia Music Publishing and is currently featured in Plank Road Publishing’s K-8 Magazine. Her choral work will soon be available through Indianapolis Children’s Choir Publishing House.Kim has degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education. She is certified in Kodaly III and was the recipient of the Friends University Benjamin Mevey Teacher of Promise Award. Kim is a 2023 Semi-Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.
